I’ve spent much of my life chasing freedom—traveling the world, seeking adventure, surviving the unimaginable, falling in love, losing myself, finding myself, and collecting strange and wonderful stories along the way.
But it’s the way I see those experiences that shapes my writing. I’m always looking beneath the surface—for meaning, connection, synchronicity, humor, wonder, and the magic hiding in plain sight.
Through memoirs and essays, I share what I find in hopes of inspiring you to look at your own life a little differently, trust what you know, believe in yourself, and remember who you are.

more about me

Hi, I'm Renee

I believe every one of us enters this world whole, wild, curious, and deeply connected to who we are. Then life happens.
We experience heartbreak. Loss. Conditioning. Expectations. Relationships that ask us to become someone smaller. Sometimes we lose ourselves all at once. More often, we lose ourselves one quiet compromise at a time.

For years, I thought my story was about surviving a spiritual cult.
Then I thought it was about extraordinary adventures around the world. More recently, I believed it was about love.
Now I understand that every chapter of my life has been exploring the same question:

The Question That Changed Everything

How do we return to ourselves?

What life keeps teaching me . . .

Whether I'm writing about wild adventures or discovering that healing often arrives disguised as heartbreak, every memoir and essay returns to the same truth:
Freedom isn't something we earn.

It's something we remember.

And now for the “Expert Bio” written in the third person (because, why not?)

She is a serial entrepreneur who has founded or cofounded six companies and has an MBA from New York University; before that she traveled the world as a surf model and professional tango dancer. Expertise and Mission

your difference is your destiny.

—not because I have all the answers, but because I've spent my life following that same pull.
If my stories have taught me anything, it's this:
The greatest adventure isn't traveling the world.
It isn't surviving impossible things.
It isn't finding "the one."
It's having the courage to become the most authentic expression of who you already are.
My job is to remind you that

I’m so glad you’re here.

Today I write memoirs and essays for people who feel that quiet pull toward a bigger, truer life
